Gaeilge

For European Day of Languages we took part in a Zoom singing lesson with GRÁinne na Gaeilge and the wonderful Máire Ní Churraoin.

Art

For art in September, we have been looking at the works of Leonardo Da Vinci. We are recreating ‘The Last Supper’ in a variety of styles and using a variety of mediums.

Congratulations and well done to the girls from 6th Class who play for our school football team. We made it to the semi-final of the Cumann na mBunscol competition, only having moved up a division last year. The girls played an amazing game of football against Bohermeen but it wasn’t our day. The girls in 6th class have played for the school team since they were in 3rd class and have represented their school with class, respect and great sportsmanship over those years. Maith sibh a chailíní.

Happy Halloween! We had great fun dressing up for our last Halloween in primary school! We did a presentation to the school during assembly telling them some facts we learned about the history of Halloween.

For Art this Month we have been working on Clay. Using pinch pots as our base, we created monsters or Halloween inspired figures.
